Defining the Research Question:
(What does the research want to find out?) I want to focus on consumers and see why they are using or have used online dating sites. I will be looking into their reasons as to why they use the sites, if they portray themselves differently on these sites along with general questions about themselves.
How will I do this?
As I am focusing on qualitative data I will be conducting interviews with people that are regular online dating users and asking them a range of questions which I will then be turning into a visual representation of the research that I gained. As we want to look into if people portray themselves differently online, I would also plan to research into what the ‘perfect’ male and female is and make an online dating profile, along with a ‘normal’ person. Doing this I will use both accounts to see who gets more attention.
Hypothesis:
I believe that the results that I gain from my interview will be very similar from the younger participants that I interview. For the older participants I think the results will be very different in comparison to the younger.
Limitations of the research task:
Limitations that I assume I will come across on the research task are when conducting my interviews the interviewees may not answer questions as best as I would like or need to collect the most relevant information needed.
